Army Basic Training
One day in Army basic training, all of the recruits were required to go on a demanding 12-mile march. They got started at 6:00 AM and were pumped up for the trek.
An hour later, feeling the heavy load of their packs, they wondered if the end would ever come. "Men," the sergeant yelled, "you're doing a fine job. We've already covered four miles!"
Revitalized, they picked up the pace.
"And," continued the sergeant, "we should reach the starting point any minute now."
